School Background

The New Millennium Training Center was founded by Art Lauter, M.S.  In addition to being a New York State Licensed School Teacher BS and Magna Cum Laude in Psychology and Grad work in Psych at LIU plus a M.S. in Education from Wagner College, Mr. Lauter has had an extensive 18 year background in the medical field to include serving as a Combat Medic and Operating Room Specialist with a MASH unit and a General Hospital unit in the United States Army.  Also, Mr. Lauter has experience serving as a Chief Ward Master in the Brooklyn Veterans Hospital, and later, after receiving a Presidential Commisssion, as an Assistant Detachment Commander of a Medical Unit. This experience prompted Mr. Lauter to start a New York State Licensed Home Healthcare Agency that was Nationally Accredited by JACHO .

As an adjunct to operating a successful  JACHO accredited and licensed home health care agency for almost 20 years, Mr. Lauter started the operation of a New York State Certified Home Health Aide Training Program in 1992.  With over twenty years experience in the health care field, Mr. Lauter established The Nurse Aide/ Nursing Assistant program and the Full Medical Assistant program consisting of phlebotomy, ecg, medical procedures, medical records and medical billing. Both of these excellent programs offer students the opportunity to continue their education in the expanding health care field and provide enrollees the opportunity to meet the community challenge for the future.
